Mission Impossible - Where are my emails …

It has come to my attention that I’m not receiving one or two emails in the last few days … where they are going to I’ve no idea. Its rather worrying though as its work related not to mention more importantly blog related :D

Two of my hosting companies don’t seem to play well when sending mails to each other and I’m lost as to where the mails are disappearing to. On the plus side now that I know its happening I can start to figure out where its going wrong. In the mean time I’ve changed my notification address on here so hopefully it won’t affect me that much.

[On the negative side junk filters aren't showing up anything unusual and are catching the usual amount of junk email]

    Well you can safely say that I never emailed you. ;)

    Actually my solution to keeping track of emails is a fwd to a google email address, it does the SPAM, and you can use multiple from addresses.

    I actually do that anyways so that I just have to log into the one account.

    Problem = sending from blacknight (forbairtmedia) -> dreamhost (forbairt) doesn’t seem to want to happen.

    Quite annoying really … no idea … (wonder if I’m actually missing other mails ?? :( )

    Sorry only saw the comment now hmm… strange.

    I’ve been slack and only sent on a support ticket with Dreamhost now. As it is I’d assume its a dreamhost issue. I’m receiving emails from forbairt to forbairtmedia … just not the other way around so it looks like they are getting rejected at the dreamhost end for some reason.

    My spam assassin is on TAG but never quarantine so its a bit confusing.

    I’ll wait for them to get back to me before contacting blacknight support :) Its only been an issue sending myself mail (yes .. yes I am that sad) :D

    Oh MY GOD!!! I can’t believe my stupidity on this :)

    Its all related to setting up forbairt.com on blacknight in anticipation of moving across and setting up mail accounts as well … :D

    Jonathan had me sorted out an realising what had happened in about 10 minutes cheers
